- Klaasmeyer Construction Company has always paid highly competitive wages, generous bonuses, and additional benefits to all of its employees.
Its recent settlement reached with the local office of the Department of Labor had to do with technical issues of how bonuses paid to employees
several times per year - bonuses it was never obligated to pay - were to be broken down between overtime pay and "straight" pay. Klaasmeyer recalculated
the bonuses paid the past few years and paid these employees that much and more. Further, the accounting method to be used by Klaasmeyer going forward
when paying bonuses meets with the satisfaction of the Department of Labor. No fines or penalties were assessed by the Department of Labor.
Klaasmeyer looks forward to continued good relations with its employees and the local business community.
